Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter on our 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon. Now our cabin air filter is going to do for our car, what a furnace filter does for your house. It's going to filter out all the debris and particulars in the air and make sure that the air coming through the vents is clean and fresh. Now, a lot of us don't really think about it, but the air inside your car can actually be up to six times more polluted than the air outside, because once it goes through and it comes through the vents, there's nowhere for it to go. Especially if we have our windows rolled up, we're driving down the highway, all those exhaust fumes are coming directly in, so it's really important to check and service your filter to make sure it's doing the job we need it to.Especially for those of us that have breathing problems or allergies, it's really going to cut down on them because it's going to make sure that the pollen and other debris is not going to get through the vent, and eventually coming into the cabin, when we start breathing. more

Rob: Rob here etrailer.com and today on our 2017 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at the PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter. Now what this is going to do is this is going to clean all the air coming from the outside, clean it all so that the air inside our Subaru's going to be nice and fresh. Now over time, if we don't check our cabin filter, a lot of the debris can build up inside the filter and if it gets past the filter it can do a lot of damage to our heating and AC system. These are really easy to replace so let's go ahead and check ours together. And if it is dirty we can replace it with the new one.We'll start out by coming to the front seat. We'll open up our glove box and on our Subaru, if we come to the passenger side, there's going to be a little shock mount over here. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter on our 2018 Subaru Forester.Now a cabin filter is gonna do for your car what a furnace filter does for your house. It's gonna filter all the air that's coming in before it comes through our vents. It's gonna help out a lot if you have allergies, if you smoke and just cleaning up the air that's inside the car.As you can see on our old filter, it is catching some small particles and some bigger things, which is a good thing, it didn't get stuck in the fan or make it's way further down the system causing more damage.The manufacturer is gonna recommend that you check your air filter every few thousand miles or about once a year. You're gonna wanna double-check your Subaru's owners manual to see the exact time frame.You want to start out on the passenger side. We'll open up our glove box and then all the way on the outer edge, we're gonna have this shock dampener that's mounted to the side of the glove box that we're gonna have to remove. If we grab it and we pull towards the outside, it'll slide right off. more
